Lady Gaga was the top winner at the MTV Video Music Awards, with four honors in a show telecast from New York’s UBS Arena Sunday night on CBS. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter tied for the second-most with three each.
Sabrina Carpenter also won big on Sunday night. Carpenter, who just released her new album, Man’s Best Friend, received the MTV VMA for Best Album for 2024’s Short n’ Sweet.
At the 2025 VMAs, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé did not break their tie for most wins, but Lady Gaga picked up the most trophies. See the full list.

While the VMAs ‘ host LL Cool J finished his opening monologue, Doja Cat appeared in a Max Headroom-influenced video. The singer then performed her new track “Jealous Type” with a heavily influenced ’80s-sounding pop vibe, including a memorable saxophone intro to the song by Kenny G.
