Deer bones for dogs: Cooked or Raw? - RetrieverTraining.Net
Dec 8, 2011 · Being my first deer season as a dog owner, I was given the idea to give my dog some deer leg bones based on another dog owner in the group. I took 3 large femur bones and was told to put them on a grill for a bit before giving to the dog. Not so much that it turns brittle/ash but just to cook it for a bit.

Apr 22, 2013 · The X-rays 4 weeks ago showed the leg not lined up properly and nothing was mentioned at this time. They even acted like it was my fault she broke the fibula. Now he's saying it was due to the plate, it will have to be removed, and more surgeries.

Oct 10, 2011 · It was a front outside toe and they had to go up a ways to get the entire bone and attachments. He was a high caliber obedience dog and continued his career well! The only problems he is having now is that his other leg since it took most of the weight for a while for recovery is arthritic. The leg with the toe removed also is arthritic.
