May 14, 2013 · The only shifting issues that can be labeled as "comes with the territory" on the rebel is. 1) a bit of a "clunk" downshifting 2 -> 1. comes from the fact it's shifting 2->N->1 in one stroke, and apparently is common to most all bikes, sort of a design feature for the rider to know they hit bottom, lol.

This carburetor is very similar overall, to the Rebel carb, except larger, and it seems to exhibit the same trouble the factory carb has when owners convert to a pod filter, most notably a leveling off in power at the top-end.

Jul 9, 2024 · Hello, glad to be a member. Recently bought a 2009 Rebel and it has been great. I'll be 80 this month and have ridden bikes all my life since my Simplex Automatic when I was 16. Did Enduros on the Texas Circuit local and some nationals for 6 years and Hare Scrambles local and some National. My avatar is the 1970 CB 750 in 1970.

Motorcycles wreck for 4 reasons. 1) 95% The other vehicle 2) Riding tired or distracted 3) Doing something stupid 4) Lack of proper maintenance.

Feb 16, 2016 · But they never did make a CMX400 (Rebel) And further, not a single motorcycle with a 400cc engine was produced in 1984. the CMs were most noted for the CM400A (Automatic) -- Honda-Matics. (the 400s and 450s had 2 cylinders.) the CBs were almost identical to the CMs (the 400 and 450 were 2 cylinders also) the CBX had 4 or 6 Inline cylinders.
