Kumeyaay Clothing. Because of the mild climate, Kumeyaay people wore very little clothing traditionally. During warm periods, children and men wore practically nothing, though men would at times wear a breechcloth and a cord around their waists to hold things. Women would wear a type of apron or skirt made from willow or elderberry bark.
