Great Snorkeling at End of the Road Puako – Big Island
Apr 25, 2009 · Beautiful underwater canyons with 45-foot walls, clear water, caves! Quite a treat. I think, though, End of the Road Puako is not for beginners unless they go with someone more experienced, nor for those who like to float rather than freedive.

It is just north of Puako Beach Drive but is a park, with a beautiful long sandy beach (at low tide at least), great snorkeling, and a big parking lot. Beware of the shore break here when the surf is up though, it can be dangerous.
