Bryant / Carrier with the Bristol 2 stage reciprocating compressor. Some direction was full capacity and reversed was 1/2 capacity using only 1 piston. They often failed from lack of oil as the lower velocity of Refregerant left the oil logged in the evaporator. While that was an issue, this one had part of the rotor damaged.
