A departure from my regular programming but needed to take a “pause” from all my menopause talk. As a physician and women’s health advocate with a large audience here, I knew I needed to to speak up. As a mom and parent of an adopted daughter whose skin doesn’t look like mine, I had a duty to stand up . I try to do what’s best in terms of my skills- and that is communicating medical information to patients and doctors to help the most dismissed women. I do it without judgement of who follows me
