Never underestimate the power of simple drop sets for hypertrophy and condensing intensity. This is one I use with my athletes that we call “thirds”. Pick a starting weight you can do 8 or so reps with. Do 5 reps. Immediately drop to a weight one third as heavy as the first and do 6 reps (try to accelerate the weight as quickly as you can). Once done, drop by one third one more time and aim for 7 reps. Again, move the weight quickly and explosively to tap heavily into those type ii fibers. Bonus
