Friendly reminder- Never use WATER on a chip pan fire!❌Putting water on a chip pan fire is a common mistake to avoid. Water can cause the oil to splatter and the fire to intensify. Using a fire blanket or a wet chemical fire extinguisher designed for oil fires is the recommended method to smother the flames safely.
