Playing Ravel’s Jeux d’eau on Ravel’s own piano was… indescribably surreal. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this kind of nerves before 🫣 What a beautiful sound from his 1908 Erard piano and intimate atmosphere, surrounded by his personal art and decorations. Can’t believe this was a week ago, when I was invited to visit his house Le Belvédère in Montfort L’Amaury just outside Paris. Thank you for the honor.
