Did you know that mixing your lightener at a 1:1 mixing ratio with 20Vol developer stronger than 1:3 mixing ratio with 20Vol developer? That’s because the ammonia that is responsible for lift is at a higher concentration when mixed with lower amount of developer. In my experience 1:1 with 10vol is just as strong as 1:3 with 20vol. This might be the culprit to why your bleach swells. Which is exactly why I recommend using a scale and mixing a new batch every 15 minutes. I’m not saying to not use
