May 25th, 2008, the Coca Cola 600. On lap 185 in turn one, Brian Vickers would lose a left rear tire. This would cause Vickers to spin out and hit the outside wall. Having nowhere to go, David Gilliland would hit Vickers tire, and cause the tire to bounce off the track and into the infield camping area.
